Terms: You can return any item to me within 10 days for any reason. If I misdescribed it, I will refund your postage both ways. If you are dissatisfied, you pay postage both ways. All photos are taken under daylight and Short Wave Ultraviolet (I use a Super Bright brand light). If your light is more than a few years old, the item may look bluer than it looks here.

Large Cabinet - Zincite with willemite and calcite from the Sterling Hill mine, Ogdensburg, Sussex County, NJ. The willemite fluoresces green SW and the calcite fluoresces orange-red SW and the willemite has a long-lasting phosphorescence. It weighs 4 lbs. 9.0 oz. and is 5.0 x 4.0 x 3.0 inches. $34.00, item #2578

 

 

Rare Short wave fluorescing bustamite with hardystonite and willemite from the Franklin mine, Franklin, Sussex County, NJ. The bustamite fluoresces red SW, the hardystonite fluoresces purple-blue SW and the willemite fluoresces green SW. It weighs 11.9 oz. and is 3.0 x 2.8 x 2.0 inches. item #2570 (SOLD)

 

A rare and unusual piece - This is a miner's parade cap in black velour. It has crossed picks on the side and on the buttons and is at least 60 years old. It is 4.8 x 12.0 inches and is marked "60" on a tag inside. Beautiful wearing or display condition. $40.00, item #minershat

A Piece of Sterling Hill History - "Exit Arrow" sign from the Sterling Hill Mine in Ogdensburg, NJ. This came out of the "West Shaft" and dates to the 1940s. Originally from the Bob Hauck collection. It is 6.0 x 15.0 inches. $40.00, item #SHArrow Rich willemite from the Mammoth mine, Tiger, Pinal County, Arizona. The willemite fluoresces creamy green SW and has a long-lasting phosphorescence. Solid polylithionite from Qeqertaasaq, Sorensen's Island, Ilimaussaq complex, Narsaq, Greenland. The polylithionite fluoresces bright pale yellow SW. Rare willemite and bournotite crystals from Tsumeb, Namibia (SW Africa). The willemite crystals on top do not fluoresce, but there is a layer of fluorescent willemite. Sphalerite with willemite and hydrozincite from a small vug from the last remaining ore wall at the Trotter Dump. Collected 4/26/03 at the site of the discovery of the first radiating willemite. Sphalerite fluoresces orange LW, willemite fluoresces green LW & brighter SW. It weighs 7.0 oz. and is 4.1 x 2.7 x 1.0 inches. item #2562 (SOLD)
